Timico Launches Project Pathway
Indirect sales-channel programme helps Partners market & sell non-mobile services to their mobile customers
Newark, UK - March 28, 2008 - Timico Ltd., an independent provider of converged communication services to the business market, today announced a new indirect channel programme that will further boost its lead in the development of the converged services sales channel. A five-month programme running throughout the spring and early summer of 2008, 'Project Pathway' is specifically aimed at helping Timico's mobile Business Partners sell non-mobile services to their mobile customer-base. Through the application of Timico man-power and expertise, the programme aims to make the sale of Timico converged services 'business as usual', rather than a one-off, and enable its mobile Business Partners to benefit as sales of converged services turn into a significant and ongoing income stream.
"A mobile customer-base will yield higher profits if they buy non-mobile services. However, we understand that for our Business Partners who specialise in mobile and have only, or a majority of, mobile customers, going out of their comfort zone takes a lot of effort. Project Pathway is designed to provide focused support to help jump-start Business Partners beyond mobile and into the rapidly expanding convergence marketplace," says Iain Sinnott, Head of Timico's indirect Channel.
IP is the future of telephony and BT aims to complete the rollout of its 21C Network by 2011. Network Project Pathway's starting point will be to highlight to customers the benefits of moving to an IP solution sooner rather than later and help mobile customers understand the potential of VoIP solutions within their organisation. Business Partners will receive heavy-weight Timico assistance with all positive responses including:
- Production of VoIP marketing pack and management of responses
- Business profiling to illustrate where cost savings and efficiencies can be delivered to a Partner's customer by switching to Timico fixed line and broadband services
- Timico and the Business Partner review the customer's billing information and present back a proposal on the full range of Timico IP opportunities
- Timico and the Business Partner will invite the customer to attend a jointly organised VoIP seminar to gain greater understanding of benefits of hosted VoIP, IPPBX solutions and SIP Trunks
"The mobile market today is dominated by the networks, which have direct ownership of customers and who over the past couple of years, have moved their customers from 12 month to 24 month contracts. This has created an income vacuum for many dealers/specialists who used to be able to approach customers at least once a year to review their requirements and in doing so, to take a commission. We want our mobile Business Partners to be able to replace money lost due to extended mobile contracts with a share of the impressive ongoing revenues from selling Timico converged services. These growing, ongoing revenue streams will not only build intrinsic value into their business but their proposition will be broadened.
