Profile of Timico

Timico are a leading provider of 'Next Generation' unified communications services and solutions to the UK business market. We have a passion for delivering technical excellence, and an outstanding customer experience. Led by a management team with extensive experience in the IP and telecoms industries, we are now recruiting for Graduate Business Managers to expand our sales team this summer.

Our investment in our own network means that we can deliver business strength broadband and IP telephony services to our fast growing customer base of small and medium and corporate-sized businesses. But that's not all, Timico also has fixed line, mobile and a range of IT and network services to offer the UK business market and can design a fully bespoke solution for any type of business.

Our strategy is to capitalise on the growing demand for IP technology solutions in the UK. There is an increasing need and desire amongst businesses to enable their employees to work from home, making better use of their time, reducing their carbon footprint and saving the company money. Converging technologies of IP, fixed telephony and mobile communications allows them to do this.

As a business we are growing rapidly, through a mixture of organic growth and targeted acquisitions. Our sales in 2009 were just under £22m, with our expectations being to continue strong growth through 2010.

The Opportunity

The graduate roles for this year will be within our sales and account management channels. However, initially the successful candidates will spend some time understanding our business and culture, undertaking work in a variety of departments.

The Graduate Business Manager role may well include managing your own portfolio of Timico business customers or developing your own new business sales. In your first year with the company you will be involved in at least two projects designed to allow you to develop new and existing skills. For the right candidates, who can demonstrate energy, passion, and a capability to learn quickly and deliver results, there are plenty of opportunities to fast track a career within Timico right up to senior management positions.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for energetic, creative thinkers who, in time, could become future leaders of Timico. Our Graduate Business Managers need to have excellent, engaging interpersonal skills, professional standards of presentation, and a passion for talking to customers. The degree subject a candidate has qualified in is less important than the paramount qualification of 'being committed' and wanting to make a difference in an organisation that is going places!

However, these positions are more likely to suit candidates with business, economics, marketing or media studies qualifications and with a minimum pass of a 2:2. We would be looking for our candidates to have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and be interested in the internet and emerging technology. Candidates who have work experience in marketing, customer facing or sales roles would also be at an advantage.
