Account Development Manager
Reporting to: Director of Account Development
Salary: Up to £50k
Job summary: Timico requires a technical sales specialist to support our in house account management team to deliver bespoke solutions to our customers. We have ambitious plans to grow revenues generated from IP telephony / connectivity, hosted services, hardware and professional services and this role is critical to achieving this. The ideal candidate should demonstrate good technical knowledge and a consultative approach to sales as well as strong presentation skills.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Support sales team with customer meetings, including formal presentations
  • Provide day-to-day pre-sales support on a broad range of Timico products and services
  • Design and document bespoke customer solutions
  • Assist team by producing proposals, quotations and tender responses
  • Assist team with commercial negotiations
  • Contribute to ongoing internal training programs
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in Timico products and with wider technology trends
  • Proactively engage existing Timico customers and drive complex product uptake
Ideal candidate:
  • Previously worked in a customer facing account management, sales or pre-sales role
  • Able to engage customers at both a technical and non-technical level
  • Able to take a consultative sales approach
  • Previously worked in the Internet services, IP telephony or data networking sectors
  • A good general understanding of communications technologies, products and services
  • An understanding of Nortel and/or Cisco voice and data products would be highly desirable
  • Role will require someone self motivated, flexible with strong communications skills
  • Comfortable with generating and delivering content for customer presentations
  • Able to manage external supplier relationships
Minimum qualifications and relevant experience:
  • Proven record delivering complex IP, Telephony or hosted solutions to SME or Corporate space
  • Experience within an ISP or Telecommunications provider
  • Possesses a detailed good understanding of next generation corporate applications including PWAN, Ethernet, Collocation and Cloud based services
