The company floated on the London Stock Exchange in September 2000 and continued to grow rapidly, achieving revenues of £330m in 2002. In September 2003, the company was successfully sold to Vodafone for £162m.
Chris has over 20 years' experience in the mobile industry and joined Timico from three years at Vodafone UK where he was Director of Enterprise customer management. Prior to this, Chris's roles include five years as a Director of Project Telecom plc and a further 14 years at Vodafone in sales/marketing roles.
Trefor has worked in the emerging field of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) for the past ten years. He was Assistant Vice President of NGN technology strategy at Mitel Corporation before founding online VoIP retailer ETphones. Trefor was for 4 years a member of the Board of Directors of the SIP Forum, the trade association of the VoIP industry, during the critical period of the introduction of the technology. Tref now serves on the Industrial Panel of the University of Wales School of Informatics and is also on the council of the UK Internet Telephony Service Providers Association (ITSPA) and the Internet Services Providers' Association (ISPA).
Matthew spent nine years with Millicom Inc. until 1996, in both the UK and international roles in Tanzania and Colombia. Prior to joining Project Telecom as Managing Director of the Network Services division in 2000, Matthew worked for World Telecom plc and then News Digital Systems as Vice President of Marketing. At Project Telecom and then subsequently at Vodafone Business, Matthew was responsible for the company's fixed line operation.
Jonathan qualified as a chartered accountant in 1984 with Peat Marwick. In 1986 he joined Stag Furniture plc and subsequently became Group Company Secretary and then Group Finance Director. From 1996 until 2001, Jonathan was CEO of Elit Group, one of the largest manufacturers of men's formal wear in Europe and since then he has become a Director, investor and Chairman of a number of small and medium size businesses. Jonathan was a founding shareholder of Project Telecom.
Robert is the founder of KeConnect and started the business in 1987. Prior to running his own business he worked for a large office equipment supplier, selling and installing computer systems and word-processing equipment.
He has over ten years experience in retail management, gaining appointments with a number of large national organisations in the retail sector. Over the years he has built a team of highly motivated individuals with the single purpose of providing customers with exceptional levels of customer service and support.
James founded Twang.net in 1998 and is responsible for the overall direction and strategy of the business. James served an engineering apprenticeship with the Royal Navy before going on to take technical and management roles with Vodafone and NTL. James also holds Non Executive Director positions for other companies.
