Timico adds value for Giant UK’s sale team
Giant UK Limited is the UK division of Giant, the global bicycle company. It has four hundred and fifty authorised retailers and eight franchise stores across the country looked after by a ten strong mobile Support team and four internal Department Managers.

"In the consumer retail world, the ability to send information quickly and reliably is key. Our store support team, who are out on the road, need to know about new price points and offers as soon as they are set. They then need to be able to inform the sales force in the retail outlets straightaway otherwise a sale could be lost, and every one counts," says Aaron Bargewell, Head of Finance & Operations at Giant UK.

Giant UK selected Timico as its mobile service provider, supplying BlackBerry handsets on the 02 Network. Using BlackBerry smartphones means that emails containing vital sales information quickly reach all members of the team and, because mobile to mobile calls are free on their business tariff, the company is saving money on all calls the members of the team make to each other. Timico also provides Giant with a range of 25 inbound numbers for its UK stores.

"Timico has a progressive and proactive approach, which sits well with our own business values. Because our account manager took the time to get to know us and so understood how we worked, she was able to make suggestions such as the free mobile to mobile calls tariff, which really fitted our business model.

Timico help us to be more efficient and effective and that really is a value added service. Switching to BlackBerrys to enable us to get email whilst on the move was another good idea from Timico,"
says Aaron Bargewell.

New employees at Giant UK are set up with handsets, mobile numbers and email accounts swiftly and smoothly. Timico recognises that businesses rely on the ability of staff to communicate right from the word go and that any delay is unacceptable as it could have a real negative impact.
