Timico helps Foxtons Estate Agents upgrade its IT network to increase flexibility and maximise security
Foxtons Estate Agents operates primarily in the London, Surrey and Middlesex areas and is recognised as one of the largest and most successful estate agencies currently operating in the south-east. With more emphasis being placed on Foxtons award-winning website to provide in-depth information and details about their properties, through interactive floorplans, virtual tours and slide shows, the company embarked on a substantial upgrade to its network.
Foxtons’ existing provider who hosted the company’s website had been in place for a number of years, but it was felt that considerable savings could be made with an alternative solution. Timico proposed a fully scalable and secure co-location service for Foxtons’ complete rack of servers which run the company’s website. Timico also recommended a business strength Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) connection to provide Foxtons’ head office with more resilience and flexibility when uploading large amounts of data to the web.

This set up will now make it much easier to expand Foxtons’ network in the future. It will also ensure that it is significantly more efficient in terms of improving processes and save Foxtons a considerable amount of time and money, while enhancing network resiliency.
